Antique French Gilt Bronze Pocket Watch Holder Stand Figural Griffin Louis XV

This is stunning French pocket watch holder. The stand includes two inkwells and a trinket dish on top. The pocket watch hook is held in the beak of a stunning griffin.

The stand is made of solid bronze, that has been gold gilt. It has been designed in a Rococo Louis XV manner, with lots of scrolls.

Very impressive piece to have displayed on a desk. It is a one of a kind, hand made, heavy quality piece!

Would appeal to both pocket watch collectors and inkwell collectors.

It was made in France, around 1850-1880.

Height: about 9 inch / 23 cm

Depth: about 5 1/2 inch or 14 cm

Width: about 10 inch or 26 cm

Condition:  Good antique condition, some patina and surface wear to the bronze, some tiny chips to the glass inserts The inkwell is made from 3 pieces, the top trinket dish, the pillar and the inkwell. It will be disassembled  for safe shipping purposes.  *Flower and pocket watch in the first photo is not included.
